The degree of Ph.D in Planning and Architecture will not just open the door of Research field in India, but also in some foreign countries. Completing a degree in architecture at doctorate level can be a long and arduous process, but also wonderfully rewarding. After getting a Ph.D degree in Architecture, you can opt for many profession viz, Research Architect. In this, you will not necessarily focus in designing buildings, but focusing more on how these new tools can enhance our work.

To apply for a job of cartoonist the employees prefer a person who has a Bachelor degree in fine arts with subjects like drawings painting etc. also for better prospects you can pursue Master's degree also. To be a cartoonist you must be creative, you should be good at sketching and drawing. You should be able to express news or stories though your cartoons well what work you will do depend on what kind of cartoonist you want to become. Cartoonists' works are published in newspaper, magazines, novels, etc.
As far as salary is concerned this is more of a self-employed job depending upon how much you work or how good your skills are or for what firm you are doing a job and where your cartoons are published.

CAD only will not be justified until you complete any Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant field. On the basis of CAD, it will be tough to get a government job. There are jobs available as draftsman but not all the organizations appoint draftsman. Many students related to the engineering branches begin their career as draftsman/furniture designer / interior designer may also begin their career as fashion designer with architectures. So, you may get job as draftsman in government sector such as ONGC and BSNL. I would personally recommend you to go for a regular degree course (Bachelors/Masters) along with CAD to get better government jobs.

I shall not recommend the observation that even an illiterate person can become an VJ.
