Dear Student, I'm not sure about the CSE programme at Galgotias Educational Institutions or AKGEC, but as a former LPU student, I'd like to share some information regarding the LPU CSE programme with you. Although the preparation of JEE Mains and MH-CET is different because MH-CET is of 200 marks where is JEE paper is of 360 marks. Also, the quality and the way of asking the questions is different in JEE and MH-CET. An important part one should keep in mind should be that MH-CET students need speed and accuracy while solving the question paper as it is found very lengthy and time-consuming, so one should learn how to pick up easy questions first. Secondly, go through all the previous year's questions at least from 2010 onward so that one is aware of the paper pattern of and the syllabus of MH-CET because it may include some topics which are not included in JEE Mains. Hence don't waste studying those topics. It needs hard work of at least 6 to 7 hours but apart from the syllabus, try to focus as much as you can to increase your speed and accuracy. Give some mock tests, have an analysis of your situation and try to handle the pressure and panic one may have at the time of paper.

There are many private universities and institutions which provide scholarship for newbies as well as for lateral entries but just for an entry in the second year or for you 3rd semester. Also, you will not get any scholarships from any government or autonomous engineering institute of India. For private universities, I would prefer Lovely Professional University, Galgotias University, Chandigarh University, Sharda University, Maharishi Markandeshwar University or else find any private institute. You may refer to the best possible institution nearby you. For admission and scholarship, you must have a good CGPA and a good character background, an active participation in co-curricular and a good score in your 12th class and should have a genuine reason for a lateral entry.

Cracking Advanced is only possible if you have studied for your board and Mains thoroughly otherwise not because advance preparation needs a thorough hard work and dedication of at least one year.
So, assuming the first case to be fulfilled, the precious tips are:
Try to increase your study duration up to 10 or 12 hours per day focusing more on more the conceptual point of the syllabus.
Don't try to study extra points other than the syllabus mentioned in the Advanced brochure as really it will not come in the exam.
Solve all previous year's questions and learn each and every concept of that.
Also, don't skip your Advanced preparation at the time of boards as it will break your link through the Advanced.
