Hello, let me tell you about the placement and internship trend of IIT Guwahati. You won't believe, due to so much hype about the internships abroad, students generally intern abroad in a huge number and it is highest as compared to any other IITs. Even students in the mechanical department with "F" in their courses who got internships abroad. In my honest opinion, since there are a large number of reputed CS companies which come to the campus for internships, probably the good students find it too lucrative to get in them and hence end up not doing foreign internships. Thus, many students end up getting pre- placement offers (PPOs) from the firm that they were interning abroad. The second thing is the placement cell which makes calls to a number of companies for campus recruitment. IIT-G has a very dedicated placement team and every year almost all major companies visit the campus. But the majority of these companies are from the software industry. But this trend is common to all the engineering colleges.

Bharath University is a deemed and accredited A grade university by NAAC.
The university has an old establishment, well-arranged curriculum and vibrant atmosphere. The effortless work is therefore visible in their placement scenario. Genetic engineering is not so widely accepted stream in india in terms of its application thus making it hard for the students to find a good job after graduation. Doing the last two years, or you might say the most important years of engineering in a foreign-affiliated university might be more advantageous and will give you hand over other students. Also, this will be a very high and a strong point on your resume. Not only for a CV or resume point of view but also give you a wide view of the engineering and the out world and how things work in foreign universities. Believe it or not, but foreign universities have better facilities and better labs than some of the institutes. MHT-CET basically requires a lengthy paper to be completed within the given time limit completely without any error and silly mistakes.
One should be made exam ready for that.
As the course of JEE and MHT-CET is same except few topics mentioned in the Maharashtra board textbooks. So, one need not go for separate MHT-CET coachings other than JEE.
Also, it is better to clear Advanced than MHT-CET. So, get through the whole syllabus of Advanced. It will help you to get the desired place in MHT-CET.
For the preparations, get through the Maharashtra board textbooks, try to figure out the scenario of the whole syllabus and the way in which questions are asked.
Don't forget to list out the number of topics which are not included in JEE syllabus. For example, hyperbolic trigonometric functions.
The last and the most important thing to be done is working on silly mistakes.
The exam requires, at the whole, speed and accuracy.
Also, try to solve as many question papers as you can so that you will not panic at the time of the exam.

The best way for the preparation of JEE Mains along with boards is through linking their syllabus.
What one needs to know is the common aspects from the point of view of both the exams.
Most of the time, students make mistakes and study the same topic thrice from Mains perspective followed by Advanced and boards exams.
For that, take an example of thermodynamics, first read your school textbooks thoroughly then go through with your coaching notes and ask all the doubts related to your topic.
After that, go through your textbook questions, both subjective and objective.
From boards only, one has covered a lot of Mains topics because the study pattern for board involves complete analysis of the topic from root till the top.
Now, after going through boards, solve the mains MCQs if required.
Then solve your coaching or practise material for Advanced and try to relate every single topic with boards.
Please do not write your high-level solutions in the boards. Keep it simple and to the point.
The above process needs hard work but is the most used and preferred method.

The students from the institute are hired by many big construction companies as an employee and many construction sites as an intern. Mumbai is one of the fastest developing cities of India and has a large scope in construction era for civil engineers which the same is reflected in the placement stats of the institute. The average placement for the undergrads is 8 LPA (civil students) and 14 LPA is the highest package offered to the student placed in Ultratech Cement Pvt. Ltd. Though the civil students prefer to run their own business and work on the own construction sites rather than jobs, but jobs could be a better learning experience to know the corporate world. Here, the admission is done through MHT CET and JEE Mains and one can qualify with 150 marks in MHT CET and 200 marks in JEE Mains for the civil branch.

Basically, these seats are a bet and the highest bidder gets the seat. This basically happens in private engineering colleges because government ones are filing their seats by well-governed exams like JEE and other state examinations. And you should know these seats are for the students that failed to meet the required criteria or were unable to qualify the entrance exam. So, talking of the prestigious colleges through is a little bit hard because if a college is prestigious it won't have such quota and all students in the engineering college would be well screened. The answer is no. You cannot get into SRM through TNEA.
Anna University conducts Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) to offer admissions to candidates in various engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. Sri Ramaswamy Memorial (SRM) University conducts Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE - UG) to offer admissions to interested candidates in its B.Tech programmes.SRM University also conducts SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) through which it offers admissions to candidates in programmes like Health Sciences. Candidates can appear for SRMJEEE either through the paper-pencil mode or even as a computer-based exam.

Unlike previous years where the admission to HBTI was based on UPSEE, from this year onwards the admission will be only through JEE Mains.
This is because of the fact that HBTI is no longer the same nor does it has the same name.
It has now got the status of autonomous by NAAC, and the name has now changed to Harcourt Butler Technical University, being accredited a university status now.
Earlier the college was among the other AKTU colleges, being under UPTU jurisdiction, the admission for which one had to be among the top 500 students performers in UPSEE exam.

I think that scheme of backlog for a year back or paperback depends on the particular student and his condition. Suppose for a fourth-year guy opting for higher studies. What happens if he has a year back? His admission chances for the next year are completely wasted. But if he has paper back then he can easily clear that exam and be eligible for the same session admission. Why waste the precious time of a student?
Also, this type of governance is easy for the college authorities as they can easily document his progress in papers and a whole semester or year.
If a guy is already in a disputable condition, and he fails to acquire certain scoring or if he is scoring badly in all the subjects then the option of year back makes sense, but just that guy fails by some marks, and he is made to study the semester again or year again, I think that it is not justified.

I will tell you how placements work. Let there be a company and lets name it "Orange". Your PC (Placement Coordinator) approaches this company and invites them for a placement drive at your college. Orange will then confirm by giving their shortlisting criteria. Now in reality, mostly this criteria contains the following:
1. Student must have no back/cleared backs at the time of interview.
2. Student must have more the 80% aggregate in all semesters at the time of interview.
3. Student must be well read about all the company profile.
4. Student must possess good logical and analytical abilities. And so on. Now, your placement coordinator can negotiate with the company for following:
1. The student will have no more than one back in core subjects that he/she will clear by the time of joining.
2. Instead of the 80% criteria, the shortlist will contain the names of the top 20 unplaced students of the batch based on our one placement policy. All resumes will be sent to you for approval. And so on. Based on how much Orange trusts your PC and what is the image/ranking of your college in the market, the company will agree to some of these negotiations and will present some of its own. Most of the time, the companies do not prefer students with uncleared backs, so I would advise you to avoid getting any or clear all before interviews. After this shortlist, Orange will take Written tests (Core subject/Logical Reasoning/Communication Skills/Psychometric Test) based on its policies followed by interviews (Technical and HR). Based on all of this you get a job.

The placement scenario varies from year to year especially in chemical engineering of Haldia Institute of Technology.
In 2017, various core companies recruited students from HIT like Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., Adani Wilmar, Topchem Cement, Praxair, Wacker, S.G Biogas, IR Chemicals, Oriental Nicco, Chemtex, Voith Paper, Sanmar, and Almal.
Many IT companies mass recruited chemical engineers like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc.
Some chemical engineers from Haldia Institute of Technology got a chance to get placed in sales companies like Berger, Amazon, but these two companies recruited students through off campus placements. Off campus placement opportunities are also there but you need to have the patience to get through with them as most of them are willing to recruit after you have completed your final semester. Some faculty members help students appear for an interview through their industry sources off campus.
Well, talking about the placement stats, only 20% of batch get placed in core companies, the rest of the batch was placed in IT companies that are mentioned above and some decided to opt for higher studies.
