B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering: VIT University is best because The B.Tech.(Electrical and Electronics Engineering) program was started in the School of Electrical Engineering, VIT Chennai campus in the year 2010.The Electrical and Electronics Engineering program at VIT Chennai is accredited by ABET for a period of five year from 2015. The objective of the B.Tech (EEE) program is to train and develop skilled engineers in the power engineering domain comprising of generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, to serve as electronics engineers in the design and development of circuits for different types of electronics systems, to design and develop special purpose integrated circuits, to develop software solutions for Electrical / Electronics engineering applications. The scope of employment of Electrical and Electronics Engineering program includes the following domains.
Electrical Power Generation, Automotive and Control Industries, Mining and allied Industries, Instrumentation and Software Industries, as well as in Manufacturing, Marketing and Business Management Industries.
Public sectors, steel industries, oil and natural gas industries, Railways, and companies such as BHEL, NTPC, ABB, Siemens, National Instruments, DRDO and other Government Organizations.
Other industries such as IBM, Honeywell, Intel, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Texas Instruments, General Electric, National Instruments, Microsoft, Yahoo, Ericsson, L&T, Mahindra and Mahindra, Alcatel Lucent, Bosch, Tata Motors, Philips along with other Software and core companies.

SASTRA University is located in Thanjavur and it is accredited by NAAC.
It is ranked 65 in the list of top colleges of India by 'the week'.
It offers many courses out of which aerospace engineering is the course in which it offers about 120 seats to students.
It is well known for its good infrastructure knowledgeable faculty with experience of teaching and many facilities like Wi-Fi Sports Complex and labs with better equipments and machines.
Sastra University is known for its research in chemical engineering but it cannot be compared to IIT or NIT research.
There are core companies like Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Ranbaxy, Manali Petrochemicals, etc.
These are some of the core companies that comes for the placement of chemical engineering students in Sastra University and provides package average salary about 9 lakh per annum.
But around 10 to 15% students of Chemical Engineering only get placed in core companies and rest of the students get placed in the mass recruiter IT companies like TCS, Accenture,etc.
They provide average salary about 3 lakh per annum.

To my surprise, a large number of core companies came to the campus which is shocking because usually this is not seen in any other college you're almost 50% of the students in every batch is placed in corporate IT companies. The core companies which visited the campus during the placement season offer packages of nothing less than 12 Lacs per annum and large number of students are also offered foreign training opportunities which is something really big for an electrical engineering student. The placement in other branches like mechanical was even better than and comparison to electrical engineering branch which has more number of core companies visiting for recruitment.

Students placed was 95 percent. For the Civil department, it was 95 percent for in 2016 and a whopping record of 100 percent in 2017. The major talked about companies that come for recruiting are names like Volvo, Larsen and Turbo, DRDO, Hindustan Copper, Sterlite Industry, HAL, Tata chemicals, Bajaj, Birla Cellulose and Raymond, Arvind Group. The average salary for chemical engineering lies around Rs 6 to Rs 8 Lacs (approximately. ). Moreover, some students also opt for roles in IT/CS, Consulting, Financial marketing, management as such. In these sectors, we have some really big names like Amazon, Google, Facebook in tech and Credit Suisse, EY, PWC, Morgan Stanley, Delloite in Finance/management role.

The problem with aerospace engineering branch is that you just cannot consider doing it from every other college or you would be forced to join some IT company with an average placement of 3.5-4 LPA.
This is also the case with Chandigarh University, where the training and placement cell of the college fails to attract a number of core companies in the department of aerospace, considering the lesser number of opportunities for an aerospace engineer in India.
So you will be asked to sit for an IT company if getting placed appeals you the most.
Other than that, if you really want to remain in the core field you should consider doing your Master's degree from IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology), which brings you one more step closer to ISRO or if you manage to be among the top 10 students in the aerospace department of an IIT, you might get into the ivy league colleges and from there you might make your way to NASA.
