The placements of VNIT CSE are the best, as compared to the other departments/branches. Many top companies, like Morgan Stanley, Amazon, etc. visit here every year. The packages are not that high, as compared to CSE of IITs or CSE of top NITs, but still better than that of some other NITs, and the private colleges. Youll definitely get a job, with a decent package, at a reputed company. Moreover, the NIT tag, as well as the reputed company tag, would further enhance your growth in the future.
Unfortunately, the scope of getting international packages is negligible or almost null. No international offer has been made this year or for the past 3 years. But many students go abroad to pursue a Master's degree. Also, most of the students would find it easy to get an international job in near future, due to the reputation of the college (More than half of the students graduated in the 1990s are currently settled abroad).

There have been many advancements in electronics field but the job opportunities in the core field are limited.
Nowadays, most of the ECE engineers are being recruited for IT roles rather than core jobs. If you want to get a job in the core field you have to be extra-ordinary in both academics and extra-curriculars, then only you can stand out from the crowd. For getting into best companies first try to get into well reputed institutes like IITs, NITs, BITS and other CFTIs. Have a decent CGPA of at least 8.5+. For core jobs I would suggest to have 9+ to be on a safer side. You can increase your employ-ability by doing Post Graduation in one of the branches of ECE. You can appear for GATE if you want to do your PG in India or GRE if you want to study abroad. Placements were fine, means at least 90% of the seniors got placed. The lowest salary was 4 lakhs and the maximum was 18 lakhs. Companies like IBM, Microsoft, Infosys and Wipro came. This year, 30 to 40% got internships were from the college itself. The stipend was offered from a minimum of 1,000 to maximum of 5,000. The college offers a placement rate of 99%.
