RNS Institute of Technology located in the corporate city of Bangalore. When it comes to placements, many companies visit the campus for recruitment drive every year. This year, the following companies visited this college:
ICICI bank, Sony, igate, Airtel, sap, TCS, etc. The college is not up to the mark in academics and can be only compared to private colleges of its level. Also, the college does not have a benchmark achievement in developing its particular department and lacks in the effortless working to be on the top of the list. One has to maintain a CGPA of above 9 to prove him or her worthy enough for the placement session. The average placement from computer science engineering branch is around 6 lakhs per annum highest being 12 lakhs for an extraordinary mind in Samsung. More precisely, the infrastructure is modern though not vibrant. So, make a wise decision and consider the academics as a major parameter but not the placements.

RV College of Engineering (RVCE) and PES University, Bangalore are well-known engineering colleges in India and offer quality education in their respective disciplines. Christ University must be very well reputed college in Bangalore. But, it is not really a good college for B.Tech. This university is one of the best colleges for BBA/BBM and good for MBA.
Placement: Most important thing for any engineering students. Sadly, no other companies come in campus except Tech Mahindra. Placement Record (Around 7-9 %): 28-33 students got placed out of 360 Students in all branches. Technical Companies: Tech Mahindra plus maybe one or two any small companies Non- Technical: May be 2-3 companies including BPO and sales. To be honest, despite its popularity, the famed Christ University doesn't make the cut when it comes to the best B.Tech colleges in the city of Bangalore.

As far as I know, till date for academic year 2016-17, total about 760 plus students have been placed in different companies. Many IT, CORE companies come for placement in our college having satisfactory annual packages. For Mechatronics Branch:-
There is a 100 % placement record of this college. The average package provided by this college is 4 lacs. The highest package provided by this college is 33 lacs. Even this year several high profile packages have been offered to IT and CS branch students and also Mechatronics branch. New entrants this year include Bloomberg, Dahlberg, Roland Berger, Wrig Nanosystems, FinMechanics and a few recent startups. As a result of rains, a few companies, which could not make it to the campus for placement sessions, would hold interviews on Skype to complete the recruitment process.

B.Tech at Christ University is a more recent set up in the college and not many batches have passed out since its beginning.
The college is known for its extremely well-reputed faculty and excellence.
If you are expecting good placements in the college then you will be in for a great out of disappointment, as the college fails to provide with the same. The total batch placement package is around 70% where most of the students get placed in corporate IT firms, which would pay you nothing more than 4 lacs in an average.
The highest placement being offered to the automobile engineering for the batch of 2017 was around 5 lacs which is really poor for a college of such great reputation.
But the B.Tech department in the college is still in the emerging stage, and not many batches have passed out and so is still in the developing stage.
I would not recommend anyone to take admission at this college if you have any better college to pursue engineering at.

Let us compare on the basis of placements, in CMR Institute of Technology, the percentage of students placed in 2016 batch was about 96%. The highest salary offered was about 8 LPA and the lowest was 1 LPA as per my knowledge. Names of some of the companies are L&T, Deloitte, Delta X. TCS, etc.
And as far as the placements are concerned, the top recruiters include (Infosys, Wipro, L&T Infotech, KPIT, Huawei, Microland, Mindtree, Microsoft Services, Capgemini, IBM, Dell, Tech Mahindra etc.) with average of 5 lakh per annum, 90% of the students got placement. BMSIT has much better ranking. CMRIT also has decent placements.

Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering is a part of Dayananda Sagar University. The University for computer science is having a very nice placement record as almost all the students from computer science get placed in reputed companies. The admission process in Dayanand Sagar College of engineering is through its own private exam or through COMEDK where there is a minimum requirement of 45% marks in 10th and +2. The institution has an average placement of 9 to 11 lakh on an average highest being 21 lakh from CSE department with companies visiting such as Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, sap, Ashok Leyland, Fincorp, Mettwies, Axis Bank, Vodafone, etc. The university has a plus point of being situated near the corporate city of Bangalore and also have a nice infrastructure and is located in the lap of nature. PSG college of technology, Coimbatore is considered as one of the best private engineering colleges of India and the college is proving it right.PSG college of technology is the best engineering college under Anna University.Every department is good. Automobile engineering department is equipped with latest fastrack labs with all high-tech equipment.You will have to learn all the things practically.
Last year placement in core companies is 25. This year college faced a huge drop in core placement.Although many students placed in IT sector as well.

Both the colleges are newly established in PPP (public private partnership) model. Now if you want to compare these two colleges you can compare using certain parameters:
1. Location: Sricity is not a very big city not so behind Vadodara.You may choose one which is nearest to you home town.
2. Infrastructure: Both the colleges are new and infrastructure is just average.
3. Quality of crowd: Cutoff for both the colleges are similar. Students of IIIT Sri City are bit talented. Mentor Institute of IIIT Sri city is IIIT Hyderabad so one can easily understand the importance of being there. Coding culture is good there.
4.Faculty and Placement: Both the institutes are equally in terms of placement. Stats may vary every year.
I will recommend you to choose IIIT Sri City over IIIT Vadodara just because of its mentor institute (IIIT H).

Production engineering is a combination of manufacturing technology, engineering sciences with management science. A production engineer typically has a wide knowledge of engineering practices and is aware of the management challenges related to production. The goal is to accomplish the production process in the smoothest, most-judicious and most-economic way.
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is traditionally broken into a number of sub-disciplines.
Production has a bit better scope than civil as of now. The placements and jobs are better than civil and there are many areas of interest that one can pursue after production engineering.
On the other hand the condition of civil engineers is not so good.
The core jobs are very less in numbers. Civil Department has much lower placements as compared to other branches in almost all colleges, many students from civil opt for IT roles due to lack of Core jobs. So what is the use of studying civil engineering for 4 years?
Even the premier institutes like IITs and NITs are facing same problem with civil.

Coming to the placements for the 2017 batch, approximately 200 students got placed in companies like Amazon, Genpact, CMS, Pompeii, Face India, Delisis, HGS, etc. Coming to the salary, the lowest was 1.3 LPA, the average was 1.5 LPA and the highest was 3.82 LPA. All companies that visited our college provides jobs under the Domain of BPO, BPS and ITES and didn't even provide roles other than these like core roles.
