Zeal College of Engineering and Research is run by the Zeal Education Society established in 1996. Its Pune branch was established in 2017, is AICTE approved and is affiliated to Savitri Bai Phule University in Pune. As it has been established ten years back, it still is unable to get good placements especially in mechanical. The current scenario of the placement is not so much attracting though one living near the location of the campus can go for admission. Mechanical placement is very low and varies from 2 lakh to 4 lakh per annum with highest being 8 lakh. This college still finding the proper execution and is working hard for maintaining tie-ups with the cooperates. I will personally prefer not to indulge in distance learning though it is a very good option for Pune residing students after 12th. Make a wise decision.

Placements, IIT- Bombay is the best since inception, it has offered near 100% Placements for students and 20% of them already have PPOs. Moreover, average range for Aerospace goes from 8 to 20 LPA and hence, makes it an attraction for various students. The college offers state of art Faculty plus best Infrastructure to maintain quality education. With IIT madras, the internships provided here are very minimal for this specialisation specifically and The Placements for Aerospace is bit mediocre since, not all students get exact core opportunities in Defense, aeronautical space, hence, does not have edge over IIT madras. This year the placement was fairly good. Almost 40 percent of the students from computer science were placed in dream companies. Considering the mass placement, the percent of placed students goes to almost 75. Microsoft and Cisco were two super dream companies that hired in double digits (1216, I guess). Apart from that, another 1015 students (mostly GDC, 2 for IDC who did internships) got PPO from Microsoft. The highest package was offered by Amazon (27lakh -&get; 3 students). Directi (26 lakh -&get; 1 student), Paypal (21 lakh -&get; 7 students), De-Shaw (25 lakh -&get; 3 students).
Overall, the number of placed students was more in this year than previous years. Many students were hired by IT Companies for mass placements.

There could be many differences that could be stated but the most important is that the B.Tech course is somewhat more practically intensive than the BE course, which is more theoretical. The name could also pose as a difference that is engineering versus technology, but that actually does not matter. Although for better understanding you could say that:
Engineering is a 'Science', dealing more with theoretical concepts & principles; technology deals more with the application of these theories for practical purposes. But, both BE and B.Tech courses offered by various engineering colleges/ institutes have similar curriculum more or less. Both degrees are valued equally by prospective employers. What matters more is the reputation of the engineering college from where you obtain your BE/ B.Tech degree. There are also a lot of common misconceptions such as, * B.Tech is offered by government institutes and BE is offered by private institutes. There is absolutely no truth in this. Institutes like Netaji Subash Institute of Technology, University of Mumbai (Department of Chemical Technology), which are government institutes offer a BE degree and there are many private institutes that offer a B.Tech degree.
In both, BE and B.Tech, industrial training is compulsory after semester 6. * B.Tech or BE is valued more than the other.
