Hi Nitish, to become a commercial pilot in India, one has to first possess a Student Pilot License (SPL).
You must be over 17 years of age and have completed Plus Two with physics and mathematics and register at a flying club which is recognized by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India. Registration requires a medical certificate, security clearance and a bank guarantee.
Next is Private Pilot License (PPL) which includes sixty hours of flying. This makes one eligible for the PPL exam, with a medical Fitness Certificate issued by the Armed Forces Central Medical Establishment (AFCME).
A Commercial Pilot Licence may be obtained only after a PPL has been acquired. To obtain a Commercial Pilots License (CPL) 250 hours of flying is necessary. With the CPL, a pilot can take up any professional assignment.

There is no set pattern of the studio test conducted by NID, however, the test is conducted basically to check your skill sets, creativity, perception, attitude, & aptitude. As far as study material or syllabus is concerned, I would suggest you to get previous year's sample papers which will be available in the market. The academics are not the only criteria to get a job, companies now a days look for a candidate with a all round profile, where in apart form academics extra curricular activities are also one of the important eligibility criteria.
As you got detained for a year there is no need to worry, as you could not attend the college due to your health issues, so this should not be a problem.

As far as I know to get into an MCA programme you need to have either a BCA degree of Mathematics as a subject in +2 and graduation, so if you meet any of the criteria you can go ahead and go for MCA programme.
Coming to which field you should choose amongst the fields related to computer application, I would say you should choose the field depending on your educational qualification, interests and career aspirations. However, software industry is known to be one of the most booming industries.
