Undoubtedly, IIT Mumbai enjoys the luxury of excellent location. It has beaches, it is a Bollywood hub, and it has great places to visit. Mumbai is the Financial Capital of India and draws more employers than any other IIT. IIT Delhi comes a close next but IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur are far below in the scale of location value. Living in a metro has its perks like better connectivity and better hostels. IIT Mumbai menu card has the greatest number of course options on it. The wide range of courses and their combinations are designed according to the current market demands and the potential demand in the near future. Hence, they prove to be greatly beneficial to students in terms of employment prospects. Over the past few years, IIT Mumbai has been able to attract best pay packages from multinational corporations across the world. Last year, the 5 the biggest salary packages offered to the IITians were offered to IIT-B students. In 2013, as many as 5 IIT Bombay students received a salary offer of about Rs 30 Lacs from MEC Japan, which was amongst the highest international offers made by the company. IIT Mumbai has made its curriculum quite flexible in the last few years much more relaxed or intensive than other IITs as per students choice. While the regular curriculum allows a lot of free time to students, there is a Minors and Honours System to allow students to choose as many courses they would like to pursue per semester.

Both the colleges are almost equal and have the strategic advantage of being in Bangalore which delivers them a large number of local companies for the students during the placement season of the college.
That is totally dependent on what and how you want to get out of your college life.
BNM Institute of Technology is relatively a very small college in comparison to the JSSATEB.
Also, the college is not at all lenient when it comes to attendance while its competitor is at ease when it comes to the same.
BNM Institute of Technology is also a little bit strict when it comes to the discpline and academics, while the latter being dormant on the same. Both the colleges provide almost equivalent kind of placements considering the fact that almost 30 to 40% of students from both the colleges get placed in reputed IT companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Infosys.
You can keep these colleges as your last option.

IIT Kanpur is a prestigious institute that comes under the top three IITs (as per recent years record). The most preferred branches from IIT Kanpur are CSE, aerospace and chemical. Though, the best college for chemical one may find in IIT Madras, but IIT Kanpur is also no less than that.
The placement data shows an average placement of 13 lakh per annum, whereas the highest being 22 lakhs and the lowest being 7 lakhs.
The most interesting part of the academic curriculum in IIT Kanpur is its academic trips which one MUST be a part of being a part of the institution.
For example, every year, IIT Kanpur takes its students of aerospace branch to Germany for the live image of the propellers and the working of the aerodynamics vehicles such as plane, rockets, jet planes, etc.

It was established in 1969 and is one of the oldest engineering branches in Manipal and has its reputation.
I can say that faculty is not 100% best, not more than 4 to 5 professors are good with their subjects. Professors are really good and are ready to help you. The course structure is pretty good and equivalent to BITS (HOD used to be from BITS).
Excellent chemical engineering laboratories - Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer and a State of the art Process Control lab. The computer lab equipped with all the engineering software - CAD, Aspen, Matlab.
Practice School Policy. Students can do their final year projects outside the institution like - CSIR labs, Honeywell etc.,
Coming to the important section placements if your goal is to get a job in service/IT industry then it's not a big deal. MIT doesn't have any sustainable relations with process industries so it's a challenge to find core chemical industries on the placement list. To my knowledge, these are the companies I've seen during my 4 years at Manipal:- Jindal Steels, Grasim textiles, Reliance, Mangalore refinery recruited students having 8 and above CGPA.

The placements of electrical engineering at IIT-Delhi are almost 95%. The average package of electrical engineering at IIT, Delhi is around 7-8 LPA. Many multinational companies visit here and offer good packages to electrical engineers:
Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Yahoo, Google, Reliance Industries, PepsiCo, Glenmark, Wipro, Asian Paints, Sun pharma, Dr. Reddy, Zydus Wellness, Cadilla Pharma, Adani Group, HPCL, BPCL, Lodha Group, Samsung, Paytm, Ashok Leyland, etc. Since EE branch is best and evergreen, the placement ratio of EE branch will also increase in future with good amount of packages by the companies. Talking about aerospace engineering in IIT-Kanpur. Everyone knows IIT-Kanpur is one of the best government colleges in India. The core companies that visit the campus prefer the dual degree or M.Tech students. Moreover, B.Tech. But it is not like that B.Tech students do not get placed or have no scope. Big companies like Eaton, GE, Airbus and Honeywell, visit the campus. Apart from these, companies like L&T and ISRO also visit the campus.
If we talk about the faculties out there, you will get the finest bunch of supportive and humble faculties. Aerospace is one of the oldest branches of IIT-Kanpur. Hence, research facilities are excellent. IIT-Kanpur has one of the best lab facilities in India.
Apart from this, the students also get placed in non-core companies like Accenture. Students also get placed in IT companies like Infosys, etc. The average package is 7-9 LPA. This is the overall scenario in IIT-Kanpur for the aerospace engineering.
