N first one, at least one good company visits your campus. In this case, you need to make sure you are among the top 3-5 of your batch to get selected by the company. You also need a strong understanding of fundamentals of the subjects and skills related to the field. If no good company comes to your campus then you have to rely on networking. It does not matters lot as many college built their campus in remote area because they can't get such a big size of land is not available in city. This does not matters a lot as BITS Pilani is one of the best college of India and this college is located in Pilani which is an small village of Rajasthan but for joining BITS student never think about remote or urban city. The selection of a candidate for MS program is a 2 stage process in abroad:
Selection process goes something like this there is a list of cutoffs for a threshold values for certain selection criteria for example all the students with GRE above 310 will be cleared or All students at CGPA above 8 out of 10 will be selected, etc. This limit is not very strict and flexible there is also criteria of English proficiency test.

This is really a tough question because both of the question paper has its own perks and difficulty.
But according to me JEE is more difficult than BITSAT because JEE has questions asked based on the concepts of the syllabus and they do not directly ask any.
They are two different examinations based on very similar syllabus except for a few things.
I have written both the examination, so I know that major difference is not the fact that BITSAT include English and logical reasoning.
For JEE Mains, one is set 90 questions and given 180 minutes.
For BITSAT, it is 150 questions in 180 minutes.
