Well as per the question both the field International Business and Marketing has few things in common. Firstly in IB you will study marketing at international level and secondly, you will have to do marketing at the international level in order to cope with the globalization of the business. To begin with distance education courses, they however, gives you the flexibility of time and space, but for those who lack in those dimensions. For the working professionals distance courses are best thing which happened to them as they can schedule their time for the learning. Talking about BBA, however it's a business course, but it's an undergraduate course which requires lot of learning and understanding. Being a MBA, one thing I can assure you is, the full time course is a hands on approach towards different situations, it's a complete different dimension altogether which distance course will never be able to match with.
BBA is absolutely not worth of a distance course because to build a superstructure, the foundation should be as strong. Full time BBA courses are very famous among the youths because it gives a different perspective of approach to the business situations as well as handling the issues which the distance courses are not able to match.
Talking about the Indian scenario, your CV won't add that value, which a full time BBA can do.
In India, the distance courses are propaganda for increment and promotions over time. Not in all the companies of course. In India, there are many institutions which give certificates of such courses. If you are really interested then universities like SMU and University of Madras are good brands.
So do BBA full time, make your base strong and build a wonderful career for yourself and once again please don't go for distance courses unless you cannot manage the flexibility of your time and space.
But it's not worth it to pursue a BBA from distance learning in India as the value created is less than the value added.

Before you are ready to jump on any decision you need to understand certain aspects of distance MBA. Though distance MBA is popular among young professionals and students you need to understand that it is not a replacement of a regular full-time MBA degree. No compulsory classes, exams and course patterns and you can schedule your exam as per your convenience and this as a whole act against you. Eventually, employers find it hard to believe that these degrees will really impart any useful skills to students. Some employers still prefer regular MBA to a distance one. 2. Shortlisting of few candidates by the company

When a person gets PPI (Pre-placement Interview) he/she is fast-tracked to the stage 5 (interview) eliminating all the other stages.
And when a person gets PPO (Pre-Placement Offer) he is directly given a placement offer.
PPI/PPOs are generally given to the candidates whom companies have had a chance to examine through the means of summer internships or corporate competitions. Everyone works extremely hard at summer internships so as to impress their reporting manager who in turn gives a positive feedback to the Human Resources manager and then a decision is taken whether or not that person should be offered a PPI/PPO.

As per my experience I don't think that an year gap affects for CAT preparation adversely affects your chances of getting admission in any institute in IIMs or any other institute of India. The entire interview process is meant to gauge the students on their knowledge, skills and attitudes as well as their inclination of doing a MBA program.
If you are dropping out of your current job for one year there should be a justification as to what were the reason for opting out of your job. CAT (Common Admission Test) is mainly a computer-based exam started by the IIM institute. Therefore, when you attend IIM and if you have the required scores, IIMs would possibly invite you to apply in their institute.
However, there are many other educational institutes that accept CAT scores. In order to get admission in these institutes other than IIMs, you need to apply separately through their online portals or using their application forms. They would have a specific CAT cut-off score. You need to see if you have the required score to be eligible to apply to these colleges. Once you have submitted your application, you would have to go through all the other selection processes like presentation, GD and PI.
